Darkside Snowboards - Killington, VT

The fall of 1989, Billy and Teeta Langlands, opened the Darkside,  a small core snowboard shop in Killington, Vermont.  The first Darkside Snowboard shop featured black walls , purple fixtures and a seven foot ceiling in the retail area.  Today twenty five years later , Darkside  has three locations in the Green Mountains of Vermont and is still the core snowboard shop on the East Coast.

I could could go on forever about the Why we are successful, the challenges of being a core retailer, what sets Darkside apart from other shops , why our venders would nominate and vote for us as “Retailer of the Year”. Let me just say that my wife and I love the lifestyle of the snowboard industry.  We work every day with young creative people who have a passion for the sport of snowboarding.  We try to treat our customers like we would want to be treated.  We try to make the experience of shopping at Darkside  a fun and memorable one.

And the best thing about working at the Darkside is we get to  ride every day.  “Today, WE Ride.”
