Pierce Skate & Ski is a 3rd generation family owned and operated shop located in Bloomington, Minnesota.  Our business was founded in 1936 in Minneapolis by Walter Pierce and our initial focus was on ice skating and named Pierce Skate Shop & Trading Post.  In 1965 Barbara & John Pierce added ski equipment and clothing to the mix and the name changed to Pierce Skate & Ski.  Our business burned to the ground on December 21st, 1971 and we subsequently relocated to Bloomington in the spring of 1972.  Bart Pierce joined the business on a full-time basis in 1980 and his wife Terri joined the staff in 1985.  Our business has grown throughout the years by virtue of hard work and dedication to providing excellent customer service via a well-trained and caring staff.  The net result has been an extremely loyal and equally caring customer base.  


I have always enjoyed Golda Meir's quote "Don't be so humble, you're not that great".  With this said, it is an honor to be recognized as being a top shop in the industry that we are privileged to be involved in.  Nothing better summarizes the heart and soul of our business than our Mission Statement which is "To provide our customers the finest in equipment, clothing and service through our own active participation in and passion for the sports that we sell".
