Teddy Schiavoni began in ski retail at age 15 and quickly became infused by the ski industry. In the early 90’s, he left retail to become a sales rep for a variety of ski, snowboard, inline skate, clothing, and accessory companies. He was involved with snowboards and inline skates when they first hit the marketplace. His experience with their rise and tides taught Teddy the importance of being on the cutting edge of new trends in the industry.
As a snow sports sales rep, Teddy traveled the North East and became familiar with the operations of ski and snowboard shops of all types. He has participated in many product councils becoming familiar with how new products are developed and toured ski factories gaining an understanding of how products are built and brought to market.
From these early foundations, Teddy learned that you cannot become complacent in this ever changing industry. He has remained true to this conviction since the day he opened his own shop in 1998 in Framingham, MA. In 2010, Summit Ski & Snowboard relocated to 686 Worcester Rd, Framingham, MA. The new store reflects an enthusiasm for snow sports and features:

Summit Ski & Snowboard’s successes have come from many factors. Identifying trends early on and taking calculated risks is the key to staying fresh. Essentially, we stay in touch with our customers, educating them on what is new, as well as listening to their needs. We keep a finger on the pulse of what’s going on outside our own marketplace, industry and region. Summit Ski & Snowboard is truly a niche specialty shop, closed in the summers. Our membership in our buying group, SMC, allows us to run our business efficiently and focus on being the best in our product offerings and knowledge. We participate in ecommerce and stay very active in social media. Above all, we believe in customer service.
Summit Ski & Snowboard has grown a loyal customer base which continues, for generations, to support our business.
