I grew up in Lancaster, PA and started skiing at a young age at resorts in the Poconos and New England. I attended Lehigh University and received a BS in Business with a focus in marketing. During school I worked in a number of surf and outdoor shops and co-founded a kayak outfitter at the Jersey shore. After school I moved to the Washington DC area and worked for a premier consulting firm Booz Allen and Hamilton. My passion for outdoor sports eventually drove me to pursue a career in the ski and outdoor business.
In 2000, I had the fortunate opportunity to begin working with a reputable agency in the ski industry. Shortly thereafter I took over the agency and became the principal for a number of prominent brands, many of which I am still working with today. I eventually formed my agency, Morrison Sports Marketing, LLC, and brought on Erik Steinour as sales associate. I would like to thank Erik for his loyalty and strong work ethic for the past 7 years. He is an integral part of my agency. I also want to thank my wife Ellen for her help with the business and my son Dylan, and daughter Sage. Their support is essential to being successful in such a lifestyle oriented business. Both kids are learning to ski and our family loves being in the outdoors together.
I am honored to receive this award. The best part of this business is working with store owners, buyers, and shop employees to understand their needs and what works best for their business. I don’t take any order for granted and will continue to do everything I can to help my customers be successful. It is the people and great relationships that make this industry so unique and fun.
