2011 US Rep of the Year

Rockies (WY/ UT/ CO/ NM/ TX)

Ed Green

Brands: Dynastar / Lange / Look / Kerma
Sun Valley Ski Tools / Sportube

I started skiing in 1966 with Eskimo Ski club in Denver. I spent a couple of years in Crested Butte working in rental/retail shops by day and pearl diving at night. I went to Durango for college, skiing at Purgatory. I then moved to Eagle as sales associate for Dynastar Lange, then onto Utah as Sales Rep for Dynastar Lange. There I was accused of being a “Bird brain” (lots of time at Snowbird). Then I went back to Eagle and skiing Vail.

I started repping when I was hired by Dynastar as a Colorado sales associate in 1993. I went to the intermountain territory (Utah, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming) in 1995 as sales rep for Dynastar / Lange.
I proceeded to become the rep in Colorado for Dynastar/ Lange in 2001. I still represent Dynastar and Lange, as well as Look, Kerma, Sun Valley Ski Tools, and Sportube.

I enjoy selling products that I use and believe in people picking up on the enthusiasm and passion.
I enjoy working with like-minded people who enjoy the lifestyle of the winter sports industry.
It’s given me the opportunity to travel to some very cool places and meet some very good people along the way. I’ve learned a lot about this industry and feel very lucky to be involved with it.

I would like to thank all the folks that thought I was worthy of this award. Thanks for laughing at all my bad jokes. My family has been a big part of this; with the moves and the 24/7 part of the job. I could not have done this without their support.

See you on the hill!

“The Show was awesome! Tons of traffic and excitement, which we were really excited about. We’ll be back every year moving forward. We’ve gotten new business from being here, and as a launch year, it’s been absolutely great.”
Tracy Bordwell, Creative and Technical Design, Fate Clothing

"As a snow-sports journalist, I find the SIA Snow Show to be an invaluable resource. There's nowhere else I can survey all of the latest gear and get face time with interesting suppliers, retailers, athletes, and other industry movers all in one place."
Sam Bass, editor-in-chief, Skiing Magazine

“You have everyone in one place, so you can see everything you need and get an idea of where trends are going. It’s a good overview of what’s going on in the industry. Last year we picked up a couple new lines that I wouldn’t have necessarily picked up had I not gone to SIA. The Show gets you psyched.”
Jim Slanetz, Owner, Board Bin, ID

“From our standpoint, our line has gotten larger each year, and the exposure at the Show is huge. There are so many people here and this Show seems to grow every year, it’s really beneficial for our sales reps to be here.”
Carrie Crogan, Trade Show Coordinator, Under Armour
