Events, custom publication, trend resources scheduled for inaugural Sourcing Snow
Washington, DC (October 12, 2012) -- SnowSports Industries America (SIA) recently announced additional on-site events and features for the new Sourcing Snow trade show, scheduled for January 30th- February 1st at the Colorado Convention Center’s Mile High Ballroom. Sourcing Snow will showcase top component suppliers essential to snow sports brands and expects to draw several hundred attendees to the inaugural event. Sourcing Snow will be held in conjunction with the 2013 SIA Snow Show, which begins a day later on January 31st and runs through February 3rd at the Colorado Convention Center.
Sourcing Snow will start off with an Opening Day Luncheon on January 30th where exhibiting brands will be inviting clients and partner companies to join them for a catered lunch. Later in the day, a group of top journalists will receive after-hours access to the Sourcing Snow hall to mix and mingle with exhibitors before heading next door to the SIA Snow Fashion & Trends Show in the Mile High Ballroom. Some of the brands exhibiting at Sourcing Snow include 3M™ Thinsulate™ Insulation, Concept III Textiles International, DURAFLEX, Global Merino, PrimaLoft®, and Schoeller Textil USA, Inc.
“PrimaLoft® is eager to join forces with SIA and our supplier colleagues to support and participate in the inaugural SIA Sourcing Show in 2013. We look forward to exhibiting to further elevate our brand awareness and to deepen our relationships with our key partners within the snow sports industry,” said Eileen Berner, Sales & Marketing Director, PrimaLoft®.
The show’s Sourcing Snow Guide will be distributed onsite and will include an exhibitor listing, brand information and valuable trend insights provided by NYC-based Stylesight. Stylesight’s trend spotting experts will also develop Trend Boards displayed throughout the Sourcing Snow trade show with important insight on major color, fabric and component trends.
“We’re getting a lot of positive feedback from manufacturers regarding Sourcing Snow’s timing, which allows for important face-to-face meetings with component suppliers before their retailer appointments begin the next day at the Snow Show,” commented Debbie DesRoches, Trade Show Director, SIA.
Exhibitor owned and operated, Sourcing Snow will showcase snow sports’ top component manufacturers. Sourcing Snow will include exhibits from performance textiles, insulation, zippers/closure systems, straps/webbing and other components, providing the ideal environment to interact with the entire snow sports industry.
“We are very excited about participating in the new Sourcing Snow event that will take place during the 2013 SIA Snow Show. The snow sports industry is very important to us,” said Wendy Fraze, Director US/Canada Sales for DURAFLEX. “Although we currently work with many of the brands that are represented at SIA, this will be a great opportunity to introduce our Innovative products to the other brands as well as the designers and product developers that may not be as familiar with our product lines and our extensive design and manufacturing capabilities.”
Exhibit space in Sourcing Snow includes a turnkey package including a complete workspace, display area, WiFi and more.
