MID-ATLANTIC

Buckman’s Ski & Snowboard Shop - Pottsdown, PA

Buckman’s Ski & Snowboard Shop is family owned and operated by Jeff, Nancy and Brad Buckman. Jeff’s father, Leon Buckman, opened the first Buckman’s Ski Shop in 1971 in Perkiomenville, PA. Known for great customer service and quality products, Buckman’s quickly became one of the area's leading ski shops.
In 1988, the second Buckman’s Ski Shop opened in King of Prussia, PA. Over the next five years, the Buckman family opened 4 more shops throughout the Philadelphia suburbs. This past June, Buckman’s opened their 6th store in the Allentown, PA area. The state-of-the-art Buckman’s workshop also underwent major renovations this summer; it is the finest workshop on the east coast, covering 3200 sq. ft with over $550,000 worth of tuning equipment.

Overall, Buckman's has 40 years of experience in the action sports retail industry and carries the largest inventory of ski & snowboard merchandise and rental equipment in the state of PA. Buckmans.com, launched in 1998, is also the web’s largest ski and snowboard specific shop.

“We take great pride in doing whatever it takes to make sure the customer has a great experience when they come in any of our stores or shop at Buckmans.com. We train our employees to always be looking for ways to "wow" the customer and go above and beyond their expectations. We have a great staff that has been with us for a long time, many of them over 10 years! They know the products and also have built relationships with customers. As far as the brands, we have all the major players and are always looking for the new and greatest product that might have just come out. We are not afraid to bring an expensive or different product in to try it out.” – Brad Buckman, Senior Vice President & Marketing Director

“The Show was awesome! Tons of traffic and excitement, which we were really excited about. We’ll be back every year moving forward. We’ve gotten new business from being here, and as a launch year, it’s been absolutely great.”
Tracy Bordwell, Creative and Technical Design, Fate Clothing

"As a snow-sports journalist, I find the SIA Snow Show to be an invaluable resource. There's nowhere else I can survey all of the latest gear and get face time with interesting suppliers, retailers, athletes, and other industry movers all in one place."
Sam Bass, editor-in-chief, Skiing Magazine

“You have everyone in one place, so you can see everything you need and get an idea of where trends are going. It’s a good overview of what’s going on in the industry. Last year we picked up a couple new lines that I wouldn’t have necessarily picked up had I not gone to SIA. The Show gets you psyched.”
Jim Slanetz, Owner, Board Bin, ID

“From our standpoint, our line has gotten larger each year, and the exposure at the Show is huge. There are so many people here and this Show seems to grow every year, it’s really beneficial for our sales reps to be here.”
Carrie Crogan, Trade Show Coordinator, Under Armour
