Quotes from the Snow

  • “It is much easier when you’re talking to someone face-to-face to ask questions and get a true partnership out of the Show. I think that the relationship piece of SIA is totally key in getting companies vested in your sellout.”
    Spike Clayton, Skirack, Burlington, VT
  • “The conversations have been incredibly friendly; the only issue for me is that we ran out of product. For us it’s a great thing, it means the pipeline is clean of product!”
Isaac Wilson, Nordic Product Category Manager, Salomon USA
  • "If you haven’t seen everything, you think ‘am I making a mistake?’ I’d rather be sure I’ve seen it all and made the best decisions I can.”
Chris Van, Skis and Bikes, Toronto, ON
  • “The SIA Snow Show gives us a unique opportunity to meet with a lot of people – about 300 dealers at each Show. It’s the most important Show of the year!”
Ian Harvey, U.S. Brand Manager, Toko Wax
  • “The terrain at Copper is great for testing. It is really great to be able to compare so much equipment side-by-side. Definitely worth coming!”
Adam Jonson, Pioneer Ski and Board, Osseo, MN
  • “It’s fun to catch up with industry reps outside of the office or store or away from a trade show, and chat about product performance.”
Phil Leeds, Skinny Skis, Inc., Jackson, WY

Nordic had a much better season in 2012/2013 bringing out 3.3M participants to the trails. As the snow kept falling, sales kept growing at retail and Nordic equipment sales finished the season up 5% in units and 6% in dollars.

The Exhibitor & Brand Directory Search

Nordic hardgoods, softgoods and accessories are a major part of the Show with over 50 brands exhibiting each year, you’ll see all the latest in gear innovations. Seeing product is only the first step in knowing what’s right for your shop and your customers. Beyond the Show Floor, Nordic Brands and Buyers head to the industry’s only National On-Snow Nordic Demo. Held at Copper Mountain Resort, this year will bring together the Nordic community alongside the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest.

Cross Country and Snowshoe are not just essential to the Snow Show, but to the entire industry. Their ease of access, health benefits and relatively low required skill level, make them a great entry point for those new to snow sports. SIA has made Nordic the cornerstone of its WinterTrails, a consumer program designed to grow participation. Winter Trails introduces new participants to snowshoeing and cross country at over 100 sites throughout the US.

If your shop stocks gear for the Nordic crowd, below is curated just for you.
